Excited to share this print is headed to the Awagami Factory international miniature print exhibition at The Hall of Awa Japanese Handmade Paper. This is their sixth biennial exhibition to celebrate Washi, Japan’s traditional handmade paper, which was recently designated as a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage craft.
This cyanotype print was made on their beautiful Shiramine paper, made from cellulose, kozo, & hemp. Their Kitikata paper has always been a favorite of mine to print on and I am excited to try their other offerings.
