I would like to share with you that my amazing partner Melody Overstreet will be hosting a reception for her show MYSTICAL GROUND at Minnow Arts this Friday 2/17 from 5-8pm. The show features original collagraph prints centered around the sacred life-giving power of seeds paired with altars full of story. I had the honor to frame her beautiful prints with locally milled redwood and collaborate with her on creating these altars.
Melody will be sharing a few poems from her new book of poetry titled Reverberations. This book of place-based poems and illustrations was created during her Artist in Residency with the On Being Project and is now available for preorder.
The evening will also feature the wonderful poet Farnaz Fatemi who recently became the Santa Cruz County’s Poet Laureate for 2023 & 2024.
